Mr. President Elect!

Good morning all! I didn't get a picture of the events last night, but how incredible. Graham and I voted and even have the sticker to prove it. Even with everyone screaming about how bad the polls were, there was still no one wondering who won last night. There was no re-count or anything. I can't believe in such a heated election that it went relatively smoothly. There were some polls here that had issues. They delivered the books with the registered voters to the wrong polls. The books had the right polling places on the cover, but the wrong names in them so people waited for hours to vote and some even left because they could wait no longer for them to get the correct information to allow them to vote. There was even one place downtown that had only 1 that is right 1 machine and when it broke, they turned voters away. That is right, some people showed up to vote and were turned away. Graham and I were ready to stay up until the wee hours to learn who one, because the last couple of elections have been questionable. I went to sleep one year thinking one person won and woke up to a different person as president.

We started out over at Karen and Wayne's house. We got Pappa Johns Pizza and bread sticks. We pigged out and watch the election coverage on all the channels to see who was reporting what. With the time change my body thought it was later then it was so we left around 9:30 and I watched the rest of the coverage and the speeches in bed.

No matter who you voted for, it was a surreal night, and what an acceptance speech by Obama. It was awesome to see the reaction of so many people and even in defeat McCain was very humble. I pray this term will be a healing point for our nation. I pray that we can really all pull together for the greater good and get some things accomplished.
