Giving Thanks

We had an absolutely W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L weekend! We got off early on Wednesday which I used to bake (from scratch) a blueberry crisp, apple crisp, blackberry crisp, and four loaves of pistachio bread. We went over to Brandrew's (Brandy & Andrew). It was a "potluck" turkey day. Everyone brought two or three dishes and man did we have a lot of food! We stuffed ourselves and then went back to Graham's parents and hung out together. We then had everyone out to our home to watch the newly purchased Close Encounters of the Third Kind on the surround sound. I had never seen it and can I just say WOW!!!!! I also spent the first part of Friday out grocery shopping and then cooked several kinds of chicken (maple, apple bacon chicken, pineapple mango chicken, and sun dried tomato chicken.) I then washed and dried blackberries, strawberries and blueberries. I made my salads with the chicken and added dried cranberries. This was me trying to get back on the diet!!! (We are both super committed and even purchasing a new treadmill this weekend!) Sunday we went over to my folks and had lunch and a great visit. I am making Brandy a little book with all the recipes from thanksgiving and our cookie bake we are doing. Once I have that completed I will be posting my scratch crisp recipe and the pistachio bread recipes.

December is going to be a BUSY month. I have finals next week!!!! Yes I am excited because that means I am done with the hardest semester ever!!!! WOOHOO!!!!! We are having a cookie bake at Brandy's on December 13th. We are all pretty excited about that! Then the next day we are going over to the rent's to have an engagement lunch for my little brother Brad. That is right my little brother is engaged! Their wedding date is June 27th 2009. Those of you keeping track Brad graduates (from High school) in May and will be married in June. They have found a great place in a beautiful park. One of my favorites in the area. I have been working on some designs for them for their thank you's as a surprise to them. They will not have to use them of course, but it will be there for them if they want to use them.

We will go to the Rich's Christmas the next weekend. (It is our tradition to have our x-mas the weekend before because I always celebrated x-mas with my momma) We still do this to allow Graham and I to have our own x-mas traditions at our home.

We will also be celebrating Graham's 27th birthday on December 22nd!!!! We also will be celebrating Matt's b-day on New Year's Eve Day. His 16th!!!!!!!! That is right, Matt will be allowed on the road in 2009 without a parent. YIKES!!!!!

There are sure to be many excellent pictures to post up here for you all in the next few months.
