My friend Amber was throwing a Cowboy birthday part for her son. She let me try my hand at making a cowboy hat cake. I had a blast making it, but I know realize I need to head to the local baker's shop and buy professional size pans. I had to make 2 sheet cakes and the hat cake in order to feed her crowd. I definitely want to go get a MUCH bigger sheet cake pan for next time! I had fun dying the fondant to make it brown, my hands are still multi-colored because I did not have gloves either.
