The last couple of weeks have been one giant blur. The holiday season worked out well for us this year. It came so that we got to have two four day weekends in a row!!! Graham and I pretty much watched movies and lounged both weekends. It was very nice to get to spend so much time together where I didn't have to worry about getting homework done or show up to a class. We got each other a treadmill for Christmas and I worked out on it 3 times last week and have vowed that I will run on it in the am M,W, & F's and on T and TR I will do my turbo jam DVD. Graham is going to run in the evenings on my morning runs that way when school starts I have no excuse to not work out. While I am in class he can work out and I will be working out in the morning. I know it will be a bit difficult to get up in the morning because some of my classes aren't even over until 9, which means I am not home until 9:30 or 9:40 and then have to do homework when I get home. So.... I may have to pick up some slack on the weekends.... we will see.
Graham also let me splurge and get a new sewing machine! It has so many stitches and functions I don't know if I will ever learn them all, but I will have fun trying!!! I will post pictures of my first project, but don't want to give anything away just yet. I found some one who makes the prettiest fabrics on the planet and I am excited to use her fabric to jazz up my project.
I also received a couple of books for Christmas from my Uncle Bob. We did a swap this year so we had to tell everyone some ideas for presents and then they could decide what to get you. You didn't know who had you until Christmas morning. The two books were on how to cook meals for 1 day and freeze them so you have meals for 30 days. This is something I have really wanted to start doing. I have been cooking several meals on Sunday to get us through the week so we don't eat out. It is our version of "fast food." This way I feel like Graham gets to have dinner even though I am at school until late! Anyway, I made a couple of the recipes and we have a freezer with at least a week's worth of two different kinds of soups if not more. I froze Texas style chili and hamburger soup. The hamburger soup was frozen in a large bag and then in a couple of smaller bags for lunch portions. I am pretty excited about doing this if you can't tell. I am also anxiously awaiting all the awesome magazines they got me as well. I will keep you all updated on how easy or hard the cooking for 1 day and eating for 30 is. I am going to try it in a couple of weekends before school starts.
We have decided to go to the cabin in CO where Graham proposed! We have it for the last week of February and can't wait to go back and just relax up in the mountains. The last night we are there we are going to go to a Nuggets vs. Lakers game and we got some awesome tickets. That is, we hope we have awesome tickets. See FedEx has lost them! Like I say, if it could happen to us it will. I am getting ready to get on the phone to see if they have found them yet. Say a little prayer they find them cause if they don't....... well I will deal with that if it comes!
I hope 2009 has found you all well and I will pray that it continues to be a great year to all of us!
